It’s your girl, Haileigh XO, and it’s time to say Goodbye.
To all the Wave Riders, listeners, colleagues, and bosses: This week is my last week working as your Radio DJ and Music Director of 99.5 The Wave. It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to you. I cannot thank you enough for the lessons you’ve taught me and the friendship you’ve so freely given. I will miss working with you and engaging with you. It has been a great journey that began in 2024 on Magic 103.3 and 95.5 as Haileigh Montana and is now ending in 2026 on a station I have worked so hard to build, 99.5 The Wave, as Haileigh XO. It has been both challenging and exciting, but it’s time to pass the torch as I am moving back home to Montana.
To the Curtis Media Group staff, I wish you all great things. I may no longer be able to call you my colleagues or my biggest fans, but I leave with friends, memories, and lessons learned from each of you. It’s been a pleasure getting to know and work with you during my time in North Carolina. I want to express my sincere appreciation to my bosses for giving me the opportunity to grow and build something I can be proud of. Thank you for all of the support and encouragement you have given me in my radio career. It’s a pleasure to have been a part of this company.
To all the Wave Riders, I never thought this day would come, but here we are! It has been an honor to build the station you can listen to at the beach and to connect with you. Thank you for all your love and support. I’ll never forget you or 99.5 The Wave. Honestly, I may even get a tattoo of the logo. Again, thank you for allowing me to reach you through the airwaves. May we meet again where the beat meets the beach!
Goodbye, Wave Riders! I will miss you!
XOXO
