North Carolina Aquariums

Hey Wave Riders!

We’re more than just the station for the beach, we’re proud to support local nonprofits that keep our coast and waterways thriving. The North Carolina Aquarium Society has a few opportunities to learn more and help support their efforts.

The North Carolina Aquarium Society is making waves with the Campaign for the North Carolina Aquariums! A major highlight—the renovation of the Tidal Waters Gallery at the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores, featuring two brand-new touch habitats where you can feel rays, sea stars, and even horseshoe crabs.

And here’s the exciting part: thanks to the Ven & Lisa Poole Family, every dollar you give between now and December 31 will be matched, up to $500,000! That means your gift goes twice as far in helping create an accessible, interactive experience for over 400,000 visitors each year.

Join us in protecting marine life, inspiring students, and growing our coastal community. Donate today to the Ven & Lisa Poole Family Challenge for the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores!

SANTA BY THE SEA
DECEMBER 13, 9 AM – 5 PM

Whispered wishes among the fishes bring holiday magic to the Aquarium’s Santa by the Sea on Dec. 13. Make holiday cards and an ornament, enjoy special treats, and have fun with themed games. Meet Santa for a photo opportunity and Mrs. Claus will be found around the aquarium for story time. Enjoy on-site Food Trucks during the day. The event holiday bag includes a take-home photo of each child with Santa plus crafts, holiday treats, activities, and other seasonal fun.

The event holiday bag will be a small addition cost to the Aquarium admission fee and membership reservation for that day. Tickets will be available online. Purchase the holiday event bag for each child participating in the event. Adults not participating do not need to purchase a holiday bag but will still need to purchase regular admission or make membership reservations, allowing them entry to observe the event activities. If an adult would like to participate in the activities, the purchase of a holiday bag is required.

Guests can also help us stock our Little Free Library for all the kids with any gently used or new children’s books.
